Worthington Ohio 43085 has nearly 15,000 residents. Its a community built up around High Street, aka US Route 23 North, with I-71 creating a portion of the eastern border and SR 315 creating a portion of its eastern border. Worthington was settled in 1803 by several New England families from the Farmington River Valley of Connecticut and Massachusetts, under the leadership of pioneer businessman James Kilbourne. When the electric street railway connected Columbus and Worthington in 1893, the village became a suburb, with cars running every half hour and making it possible to live in Worthington and work or shop in the capitol city. 

Today, Worthington’s strong community spirit and excellent quality of life serve as the solid foundation for people of all ages, businesses, their employees and families. Education, a founding tenet of the city, remains a hallmark of Worthington. McConnell Arts Center of Worthington is a central arts and community gathering space that enhances the richness of community life, strengthens the educational environment, and increases opportunities for the arts as a vocation or fulfilling avocation. The McConnell Arts Center provides artistic programming and fosters cultural awareness in the community by presenting, educating, and promoting the performing, visual, and literary arts and by assisting artists and arts organizations.

The Worthington arts community also includes opportunities through the Worthington Community Center and a number of theater, choral and visual arts groups including the Worthington Chorus, Worthington Community Theatre and the Worthington Area Art League.

Health & Fitness:  The City of Worthington recognizes the value of good health and fitness and has responded to the needs and expectations of the community through programs and amenities offered through the Worthington Community Center. This spectacular family-oriented, state-of-the-art facility features an aquatic complex, fitness center and many more amenities for family fun and fitness. The center includes two pools - a leisure pool for family fun and a lap pool for exercise and swimming lessons - as well as a state-of-the-art fitness center, two basketball courts and art studios.
